Last update: December 31, 2014
Delaware’s Cabinet Committee on Climate and Resiliency was set up in 2013 to guide state agencies through the process of implementing and carrying out Executive Order 41: Preparing Delaware for Emerging Climate Impacts and Seizing Economic Opportunities from Reducing Emissions. The executive order provided a road map for state agencies to prepare for the impacts of climate change and to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change. It is the backbone behind many state agency activities that will help reduce the impact of climate change to the state. It has set a goal to reduce Delaware’s greenhouse gas emissions 30% by 2030 and has developed this climate change action plan as the Climate Framework for Delaware.
